◦RELN, ORC5L 7q22/TES 7q31 (7q)
◦MYC 8q24/CEP8 8p11.1-q11.1 (CEP8)
◦RUNX1T1 8q21.3/RUNX1 21q22 t(8;21)
◦MLL 11q23 (MLL)
◦CBFB 16q22 (CBFB)
◦PML 15q24.1/RARA 17q21 t(15;17)*
◦Probes may be ordered separately

*Probe set used only there is suspicion for APL based on morphologic/flow cytometric evaluation


Specimen Requirements

•Bone Marrow Aspirate: 1-3 mL sodium heparin tube. EDTA tube is acceptable.
•Peripheral Blood: 2-4 mL sodium heparin tube. EDTA tube is acceptable.
•Fresh, Unfixed Tissue: Tissue in RPMI.
•Bone Marrow Core Biopsy: 1-2cm core (length) Tissue in RPMI.
•Fluids: Equal parts RPMI to specimen volume.
•Paraffin Block or Cut Slides: Not available.


Storage and Transport

Use cold pack for transport, making sure cold pack is not in direct contact with specimen.
