Test Name: BCL-6

Methodology: IHC

Test Description

BCL6 is expressed predominantly in the nuclei of normal germinal centre B cells and in a subset of T-lymphocytes that home to the skin. BCL6 is also expressed in germinal center-related B-cell lymphomas, including follicular lymphoma, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, Burkitt’s lymphomas, and nodular, lymphocyte-predominance Hodgkin lymphoma. It is most useful in the work-up of B-cell lymphoma.
