Test Description
This assay is an in vitro nucleic acid amplification test that utilizes Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and nucleic acid hybridization for the qualitative detection of Neisseria gonorrhea (NG). Testing is also available in combination with Chlamydia.

• SimpleSwab™

• COBAS® PCR Female Swab Sample Kit
• COBAS® PCR Urine Sample Kit"
Storage and Transport
Specimens can be shipped and stored at 2 - 30°C. If shipping temperatures exceeding 30°C are anticipated, use cool plack. Viability after transfer to collection/transport tube is:
• ThinPrep® Pap Vial: 30 days
• COBAS® PCR Female Swab Sample Kit: 30 days
• COBAS® PCR Urine Sample Kit: 30 days
• SimpleSwab™: 10 Days
• BD eSwab: 10 Days
