Test Name: High Sensitivity PNH Evaluation  

Methodology: Flow Cytometry

Test Description

Markers are CD14, CD15, CD24, CD45, CD59, CD64, CD235a (Glycophorin A), and FLAER. The sensitivity of this assay is 0.01% for granulocyte and monocyte PNH clones and 0.01-0.1% for RBC PNH clones. This assay is consistent with the most recent International Clinical Cytometry Society (ICCS) Guidelines.

Specimen Requirements

•Peripheral blood: 5 ml (1-2 mL minimum) EDTA or sodium heparin tube. Please provide recent CBC report. Bone marrow specimens are not acceptable.

Storage and Transport

Maintain specimen at room temperature. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Use cold pack for transport, making sure cold pack is not in direct contact with specimen.
