Test Description

Disease: The cervical TERC FISH Test evaluates for cervical cells for chromosomal abnormalities (TERC gene amplification, increase in chromosome copy number) linked to cervical cancer. Studies have shown that at lease 90% of invasive cervical cancer cases have increased copy numbers of the telomerase gene (TERC), located at 3q26.2.

Probes: TERC (3q26)/5p15/Copy Control 7/CDKN2A

Storage and Transport

Specimens can be shipped and stored at 2 - 30°C. If shipping temperatures exceeding 30°C are anticipated, use cool plack. Viability after transfer to collection/transport tube is:
